Hours: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday

For some delicious Mexican food that comes with an attractive price tag, head to Nuevo Vallarta. You can get the lunch special Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. It comes with an entree, with choices such as a taco, enchilada, or tostada, served with rice and beans for only $6. Appetizer options for $5 or less include bean nachos, cheese dip, a quesadilla, and cheese fries. Even the seafood selection has some great prices. For example, you can get a shrimp taco salad, camaron bandido, or enchiladas seafood for only $11.

Jackson’s Restaurant

Hours: 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday

When you grab a bite at Jackson’s Restaurant, you’ll leave with a full stomach. This restaurant offers a diverse menu with fair prices to satisfy you no matter what you order. You can get a plate with meat and sides from the hot bar. The options change daily, so you can try something new whenever you eat there.

For breakfast, you can choose from options such as French toast, biscuits and gravy, and omelets. You’ll love the classic and specialty burgers that feature favorites such as the Wildcat Bacon Blue Cheese Burger and the Kentucky Sunrise Burger.

Straight From Texas Bar-B-Que

Location: 306 North St

Hours: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday

If you’re in the mood for some Texas barbecue, you can’t go wrong eating at Straight From Texas Bar-B-Que. Wednesday is wings day, but make sure you go early because they don’t last long. If you miss out, you can stop in on Thursday for some mouthwatering nachos.

Meat selections you’ll find daily until they’re gone include chicken, pork, ribs, beef sausage, and more. Your order comes with a bun or flour tortillas, and you can pair it with sides such as mac and cheese, green beans, coleslaw, pasta salad, or sweet corn cakes. And don’t forget to check out the Sweet Shop menu while you’re there.

El Charro Texano

Location: 136 N. Keeneland Drive

Hours: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday

For authentic Tex-Mex flavors that’ll leave you wanting more, see what’s on the menu at El Charro Texano. You can get appetizers such as nachos with beans, cheese, or ground beef and quesadilla Azteca at a great price. On the a la carte menu, El Charro Texano offers quesadillas, burritos, chimichangas, street tacos, and more for prices so low you can order anything you want.

The Noodle Shack

The Vietnamese fusion menu has creative items that are sure to please your palate and your wallet. Start your meal with some spring rolls, pot stickers, or chicken on the stick. If you want something healthy and unique, get the Japanese chicken katsu salad. It features crispy fried chicken breast on a bed of mixed greens topped with cherry tomatoes.

El Mejor Mexican Restaurant

Location: 830 Eastern Bypass (at the Richmond Mall)

Hours: 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday

At El Mejor Mexican Restaurant, you can expect the food to live up to the name, which translates to “the best.” Go for lunch if you want some of the best deals around. The restaurant offers a lunch menu daily from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., including tons of options at amazing prices. You can get combinations such as two tacos with rice and beans for $4.99 or two enchiladas with rice and beans for $5.99.

Lunch specials are only $5.99 and include items such as a chili relleno and a taco with beans and guacamole salad and a burrito and enchilada with rice. Even if you go for dinner, your bank account won’t feel it too much. You’ll find great prices on burritos, fajitas, seafood, and lots of other authentic Mexican dishes.
